For the big birdfeeder, partner is complaining about crows and pigeons cleaning it out. They figured out how to land on the birdfeeder and stay there for up to a minute while gorging themselves on the seeds.
Well, not to be outsmarted, I studied their technique and grip and figured I could outsmart them. Add these to your birdfeeder and your seed will last longer.
The seed catcher tray on the bottom is what they were grabbing onto, so I minimized it so they can't do that anymore. This may result in more seeds falling to the ground, but the rock doves will get those anyway.
I was hoping it would deter the squirrels, which it seemed to do, but one day found a squirrel wrapped around the feeder, but wasn't able to stay on for long. I used to see them resting up there for much longer.
Needs 8 screws to attach. Has opening for bottom seed exits, so be sure to line those up when you install by spinning the bottom plate around.
