There are ALOT of PSU covers for the ANET A8. However, I recently upgraded to a Meanwell NES-350-12 power supply, and I wanted a cover that would -
Actually fit it.
Take advantage of available space for decently long wires (to make assembly easier).
Have good ventilation.
Allow for wire routing/strain relief.
Be sturdy enough to mount a fused switch.
Not require hardware besides the spare Anet A8 hardware.
Work with the adapter bracket I used.
Surprisingly, I didn't find anything already on Thingiverse for this so I designed my own.
I've uploaded two versions. One has additional ventilation. Feel free to remix, etc.
This was designed to be used with this excellent adapter bracket - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2257331
The power supply I used - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007K2H0GI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Due to it's generous size and mounting flexibility this cover can be used with many power supply upgrades for the Anet A8 such as various Meanwell 350-12 units, the knock offs such as the eTopxizu unit and any others of similar form factor.
The switch I used -https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ME5YAPK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It can be mounted in either direction, and the tolerances are generous for similar switches.
The slots are large enough to run the connector/cable for the Z-axis motor through them and to use zip-ties for cable strain relief if needed.
I ran this at 100% fill and 100 mm/s print speed and it took 5-6 hours. Your mileage may vary. Let me know if you have further questions.
