I am sharing the 3D printed parts for the old but awesome alulight magnum 35 technisub torch and some ideas about rebuilding it.
Magnum alulight is a super robust, designed in Italy, aluminum body with all magnetic switches and 6mm front glass that can resist significant water pressure. Magnum technisub can become an awesome platform for a super reliable and long-lasting scuba torch packed with lots of modern tech. The only thing you need is a bit of creativity and some patience.
These two parts are a replacement for the plastic buttons that got cracked.
Sharing this with Step files so you can improve it or make a remix if you have other needs.
Why I like this torch
Solid anodized aluminium body, CNC'd.
Original lamp 35W , up to 60 min. 20W - up to 90 min.
With my Ikea lamp on the original battery, it runs for 25 ! hours. (Not super bright though)
Lamp: Ikea RYET LED ljuskälla G4 , 100 lumen
60mm reflector, with 6mm hardened glass
You can go down to 120 m deep with this
Foldable handle with magnetic switch
Quick charge
SOS, strobe modes
High temperature/overheat protection
As you can see its still a solid piece of hardware and fixing this awesome torch still makes sense if you are DIY enthusiast.
