Beset on all sides by opposing factions (Namely the Crux Confederation) the empire tumbled down upson it's self. Left with only a silver of their territory and only a handful of ships the Alicans were forced to adapt. They refitted and modified the old Gunmen ship designs. These new ships (Belonging to a new and emerging class: Prodigy) gave the Alican remnants the firepower and mobility they needed. They added massive guns, reinforced armor and fortified shields. These enhancments required a larger amount of power, so to solve this problem they added several more generators. The large number of generators left the ship volitile.
