The "AL-EX" frame is an easy-to-build and cost-effective main frame for the Prusa i3. It´s made from ALuminum EXtrusions and is thus much more stable than wooden or most acrylic frames. The frame uses the same dimensions as the Prusa i3 and is therefore suitable for all common i3 versions.
You need:
2 pieces I-type slot 5 20x40 370 mm or longer
1 piece I-type slot 5 20x20 260 mm
1 piece I-type slot 5 20x10 260 mm
You can fit the frame with 18 pieces of M4 or M5x8 screws with suitable t-nuts.
For the attachments M3 or M4x10 screws can be used.
You need:
