The Aerobee Rig allows a camera to be attached to a kite or balloon line for low elevation aerial photography. The frame is 1 1/2" wide 1/16" aluminum. A 3D-printed hinged camera platform and two leg brackets are bolted to the frame. An escapement mechanism (The JerkPan) allows the rig to rotate when the flying line is jerked so photos from different angles can be stitched into panoramas. There is more about the Aerobee Rig here.
Kits to build the Aerobee Rig can be purchased here and here.
The 1 1/2" wide aluminum frame is about 38mm wide, so the smaller part of the hinged camera tray is scaled to be 36mm wide. The larger part of the camera tray should be 60mm wide. The leg bracket should be 34.5mm wide.
A new version of the leg bracket (for tubing loops) was added 02/01/17.
