I liked the A1 new corner idea quite a bit - but I hated the thought of having to drill in and get a metal shim. I also hated the idea of needing to raise the glass. This removes that need!
So what I did instead is develop a shim from the outside. I had alot of 3mm screws that the A1 used, but I bought a box of 100 screws (M3 -0.50 x 20 m) and 100 nuts of them from Amazon ($5 each), which you may need. Now you still tighten the corners as described by the previous version (not too tight?) but you can raise and lower each corner of the bed using an external screw and only plastic!
The other good part is if you do see some plastic fatigue because you run your bed much hotter, you just print another. Quick change! But I doubt you'll need to.
This also eliminates metal from touching the kapton heat spreader or the glass.
Let me know what you guys think, this is my first design to be functional and my first contribution to Thingiverse!
PS, You do need to rotate the each piece before printing, and yes the pieces do clear the smooth rods.
