This is my very first submission to Thingiverse so please do feel free to provide me with feedback.
The Dowel jig was designed for 3d printing as I wanted a more accurate build than the one I made from wood. The 8mm jig was the first I built and I've used a 608-2z bearing as the drill guide and just a 6mm bot to attach the sliding rail. The jig principles of the jig was inspired by one that I found youtube and did work well when made in wood, I did use supports but guess I could do without that.
The photo shows the first one I printed and since then I've changed the position of the centre finding pegs and also added a centre line so if you are using this to add dowels to the centre of a board you can easily align the bearing to drill.
