current v1 notes
. about 2mm of bare metal is exposed at the bottom edge of the 2020 bar
. the dowell works but you might have to use channel locks, teeth or similar
. the dowell can develop play so you may have to glue it I don't recommend gluing at this point as the ability for the bearing assembly to come apart easily is important. If and when the filament binds in the spool this would help prevent the snapping your parts! Any play hasn't been an issue for the assembly staying together during prints.
the one ball variant hasn't been tested and may not be sufficient for holding the filament in all scenarios
