This is a scalable desktop solution to add Hotswap SSD bays to the front of any desktop case containing 5.25" optical bays.
Depending on hardware configuration you may need to add more sata ports
to either your motherboard or by adding a simple raid card.
Hardware needed -
MachineScrew #6-32x1" works well for fan bracket assembly & sata adapters.
HDD - typical small beveled hard drive screws required to successfully mount SSD drives.
Sata adapters - Designed around the one in this link, I cannot guarantee fitment of other adapters.
40mm fan for single bay(2 drives) (3pin adapter) preferred for motherboard - unless you want to power another way.
120mm fan for 3 Bay (6 drives)
Use the "SATA adapter mounting bracket.stl" on top of the sata port adapters to ensure a good hold without damaging the adapters (DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN) snug is fine. MachineScrew#6-32x1" is used for the adapters, using just the screw through the first then adding a Nut under it then and tightening to second adapter mounting bracket.
Note: these brackets do not need to be super tight. In fact, they need a little space to adjust to the hdd as it is seated when inserting each HDD.
When adding 3 bays, use the 120mm fan bracket, attach the fan to the bracket and then attach to bays. Insert into case as a complete unit.

time allows.
