Second release! V1.1.0
All values now save upon exit! Works upon exiting the program with any method.
HH:MM feature added, selectable between minutes. 2 hours 34 minutes is simply 2:34 now, rather than figuring out the full minute equivalent.
Hint bar added on bottom. Will show a quick hint for the field currently selected. This works for output fields as well.
Custom material and diameter fields added.
If the download does not work, it is available at our site at http://standardselectronics.com/3d-printer-calculator/ where you can also add your e-mail to the mailing list and get future update notes!
WINDOWS 10 USERS:
This has been tested to work on Windows 10, but seems that some have a bit of cosmetic edging issues. We will do some more research between versions here and correct that next release. There does not seem to be any usability issues.
MAC USERS:
Porting proved problematic for specific commands within the program. An emulator (Wine/Winebottle, or Virtualbox) on the mac side may allow you to use this program. We are actively trying to find a solution and could use any help on the matter.
The Details:
Requirements are .NET 4.5 (Which it will let you download from Microsoft if it does not find it). This is a Windows only program for now, time will tell if this spreads to Apple, Android, etc. Just download and run the .msi file and your off and running!
It is a one window program, what you see is what is there. The menu system is a series of popups with extra info, handy links, and a few tips and tricks.
Let us know how it can be better! We have loaded it with data crunching abilities, and made all the fields tab friendly (check the help menu for hints). After a while, we were punching out a full set of data in seconds. We hope you enjoy it, and please, spread the word! This is freeware, and it will remain that way, share to your hearts content (just don't break it apart, modify it, and then run amok).
Upcoming Changes (No set release date):
Mac compatibility (very near future, will be V1.1.0 as a MacOS install file)
Save to file functionality (experimenting with usefulness)
Dual head printer options
Any kind of bug fixes that have been discovered by you guys (keep messaging us, or e-mail us at stafford.tyo@standardselectronics.com)
Bonus Print:
We made up a business card with 3DPEC on it. Print it out and show it off to help support us!
