This is a motor mount I designed for the 3dlabprint Stearman Kaydet. The stock mounting design has you mount the motor to the very front of the "engine block". Unfortunately, that means the wires are up front as well, and must travel down the length of the "engine block" through the firewall. In my situation, that meant the wires would rub on the rotating housing of the engine. Not a good situation.
This motor mount allows you to mount the motor more traditionally, to the "fire wall". The mount holes were positioned for an Aeolean C3548 1100kv motor, but should fit others as well. I printed in ABS as I believe the strength is needed (it is a motor mount, after all).
In my particular case, I also had to provide some clearance to the engine block as well, so the motor mount bracket would fit, and the prop adapter could protrude out the end. See photos.
