Harvest Right freeze dryer vacuum fitting adapter.
Created because the only fitting at Home Depot which even comes close to fitting the 37 degree hydraulic flare fittings on this machine is a garden hose adapter with the o-ring removed.
3/4 JIC 12 thread per inch female, tapered and oversize 5%
1/2 NPT 14 thread per inch female, straight threaded
30mm hex nut, 31mm long
Thread specifications were found here:https://www.hydraulicstore.com/images/pdf/METRIC%20PORT_JIC%20THREAD.pdf
and here:https://www.engineersedge.com/hardware/taper-pipe-threads.htm
Threads were created using OpenSCAD:http://www.openscad.org/
running a thread script created by Dan Kirshner:https://dkprojects.net/openscad-threads/
The resulting STL files were repaired using this:https://www.formware.co/OnlineStlRepair
Before being imported into MatterControl 2.0:https://www.matterhackers.com/store/l/mattercontrol/sk/MKZGTDW6
The resulting STL files were run through formware's repair before being imported into Ultimaker Cura for slicing:https://ultimaker.com/software/ultimaker-cura
I set the Shell - Wall Line Count value to an arbitrarily high number (20) to achieve 100% infill perpendicular to the walls in a pattern I felt would be stronger than the pre-defined options for 100% infill (although I could be wrong on that).
I oversized the JIC thread by 5% on the X and Y axis as prints with the original dimensions weren't able to thread onto the JIC fitting.
It should go without saying, but you'll want to use teflon tape.
Edit (2020-10-18):
The first design broke when it bottomed out against the flare face.
Version 2 does not have that problem.
