A boyscout woggle knot mandrel. Stick 1/8" pins in the holes (either cut 1/8" dowels to about 1/2"-3/4" lengths or print the included pin.stl file), then follow the pattern with a strand of cord. Once completed, remove the pins and the knot slides off. You can double or even triple the knot by following the knot around again with your cord (for best results, leave it on the mandrel while doubling or tripling). This 3D printable model was designed to look like the ones that I make out of wood with a Pocket NC. You can purchase the wood ones that I make here. Learn more about my CNC mandrels in my blog post.
I recommend printing the pin laying down as it can break easily in the holes if printed vertically. Wood dowels are even more reliable.
