The EPL-BS-25WRE-100 from Larson Electronics is an explosion proof portable LED light useful for illuminating hard to reach areas or outdoor locations where portability is key. This portable LED light offers operators with 2,750 lumens while drawing only 25 watts. The LED light head, which operates on 120-277V AC at 50/60 Hz is mounted atop a base stand fabricated from non sparking spun aluminum with a convenient carrying handle built into the top of the stand. The EPL-BS-25WRE-100 boasts a 50,000+ hour service life rating and is built with durability and weather resistance in mind, and is rated Class 1 Division 1-2 Groups C & D and Class 2 Division 1-2.

As well as unparalleled heat control, the EPL-BS-25WRE-100 from Larson Electronics also offer IP67 rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, are waterproof, and resistant to dust, dirt and humidity. The housing is powdercoated for added durability and resistance to corrosion. The CREE LEDs offer resistance to shocks and vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours of use.

A single CREE 25 watt LED producing 2,750 lumens is combined with high output reflector to produce a narrow 10 degree spread spot beam approximately 1000' long combined with a 60° flood beam. This combination spot and flood beam provides both distance and width from a single light source. Objects are clearly and sharply illuminated all the way to the end of the beam reach. Included with this LED light is 100 feet of SOOW cord terminating in an plug. This unit is univeral voltage capable and can be configured to operate on 120-277V AC at 50/60 Hz.

Spot Beam- Shallow/Special Contour The unique shape and shallow contour of this portable explosion proof LED light's reflector is paired with a convex lens and inset lens position to efficiently capture and project a focused beam of light while reducing the light spillage and waste that is common with many spotlights. This efficient design also reduces casting, a phenomenon that occurs when wasted light "spills" around the light source. Often times, when surrounded by water, snow or other reflective surfaces, this light spillage prevents the human eye from adjusting properly and seeing objects at distance. With the EPL-BS-25WRE-100 spotlight configuration, 90% of the emitted light is captured and focused, clearly and sharply illuminating objects all the way to the end of the beam reach.

LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.

LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.

LED Drivers: Even in LED fixtures, heat is the single largest factor in premature light failure and color shifting. As a result, many manufacturers reduce the output of their LEDs in order to reduce the amount of heat produced. Rather than lower light output or quality, Larson Electronics addresses this problem with the addition of an electronic LED driver. This internal driver provides the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. This not only reduces the energy dissipation, effectively lowering the operating temperature of the fixture, but also prevents AC over-voltage and short circuit loading making this fixture virtually maintenance free. Because the electronic driver allows the EPL-BS-25WRE-100 to run at a cooler internal temperature and regulates the electrical current, energy efficiency and LED service hours are maximized while at the same time reducing operating costs and downtime incurred from the frequent servicing intervals required with other hotter running lights.

Wiring & Plug: The EPL-BS-25WRE-100 explosion proof portable LED light is equipped with 100 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an explosion proof cord cap for easy connection to explosion proof outlets. Plug options include a 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets, a 5-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets, or a 6-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 220-240V explosion proof outlets. **PLEASE NOTE** voltage ratings on plugs and outlets are MAXIMUM voltage. For low voltage applications, proper voltage must be applied to the outlet or damage to the light fixture will occur.

Suggested Applications: Illuminating enclosed areas and hazardous locations where flammable vapors, gases and dusts may be present.
