Like the previous generation, all cars will feature all-wheel drive and an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic. German models went on sale in November 2017, while pre-orders began on October 5, 2017. Early engine models included 55 TFSI (3.0 TFSI) quattro, 50 TDI (3.0 TDI) quattro. The new A8 went on sale in September 2017. The estimated UK base price is £70,000. The Audi A8 L arrived in the U.S. on October 5, 2018, with deliveries started in November.
