This is an enclosure form my wifi push clock for time and weather display.
Parts:
chip ESP8266 wifi module (with 3$ custom firmware, it realy great!)
1.8 TFT display
Any PC or Raspberry PI as data source.
Arduino pro mini 3.3v
My home automation server collect data from sensor network.
Using php-script it get actual data and send to the clock. ESP8266 wi-fi module act as a server. It got data and sent it to arduino using UART. Arduino used only for get data from serial port and print it on the TFT display.
Project description in russian. Sorry for that! Use google translate please.http://imarh.ru/content/push-%D1%87%D0%B0%D1%81%D1%8B-%D1%81-%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%BE%D0%B1%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%B6%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B5%D0%BC-%D0%BF%D0%BE%D0%B3%D0%BE%D0%B4%D1%8B
If you don't have own sensors and a web server you can see here:http://blog.simtronyx.de/en/simple-indoor-climate-monitoring-with-an-arduino-bmp085-dht11-and-a-rtc/
This is original project that give me an idea to using old 1.8TFT display. It uses onboard sensors and own real time clock inside. I saw this project some month ago. And I like it.
PS. my 1.8TFT screen doesn't work with that project. I use UTFT library instead of UTF mentioned there.
