This is a hinge primitive that I am using to build electronics boxes that open up for easy access to internals.
I print these out with no support, but a lot of people have to have support material. I'd turn support on and let your slicer decide.
The rods are cheap and easy to find. They run about $.40USD each in quantity (20) on Amazon or Aliexpress. Search for "3mm x 150mm stainless rods" to find them. The rods fit snug at first and the rods will push out normal amounts support material easily enough.
