1:1 120 mm L/44 (M256) ammo pack (for big scale modelers)
Big thanks to my supporter Gregory, for providing the right inspiration :-)
Standard ammunition for 120mm Rheinmetall 120 mm L/44 (M256) cannon mounted on Leopard 2, M1A1 Abrams and few other tanks. Package contains Sabot round, Sabot round with tip cover for transport, two types of HEAT and transport crate in different configurations. Caliber and length of all shells is precisely according to real size, rest of dimensions is as close as possible to blueprint without knowing exact parameters.
Note: models are as realistic as possible. I have chosen crate wall width to be ok even in tiny scales. No other optimization done for printing so far (will make some later, especially around hinges)
All models are created in 1:1 scale, with maximum details. You can resize to any scale you want. I can provide even smoother models in full scale, but one stl will be 800MB. If required, send me a message. But most of you will use about 5% size at best, which is nice and smooth.
Contents:
3 types of ammunition:
120mm APFSDS-T M829A2 without tip cover
120mm APFSDS-T M829A2 with tip cover
120mm HEAT-MP-T M830
120mm HEAT-MP-T M830A1
1 tip cover for 120mm APFSDS-T M829A2
1 Crate
4 types of shell-in-crate-fixing pieces (end part, part with 2 big diameters for same direction storage, part with 2 small diameters for same direction storage, part with both diameters for opposite direction storage)
Configuration for each type of shell:
Standalone
Two shells stored in crate in opposite direction
Two shells stored in crate in same direction
Two shells fixed for storage outside crate (for easier painting) in opposite direction
Two shells fixed for storage outside crate (for easier painting) in same direction
Crate configurations:
Closed
Open 90°(half)
Open 180°(full)
If you go for really big scale, I recommend picking empty crate in any configuration and combining it with any fixed shells or you can go full hardcore and make each part separately.
Please post makes, if you decide to make some.
If you want to print my models commercially, send me a message and we can strike a deal.
Happy printing
