improve the Z-Axis stability and make it much easier to get the two parts exactly parallel because they mate nicely together. No more guesswork.
There is enough space between the parts so that you can still tighten the aluminum coupler on both ends.
As a little extra, there are 4 holes on the side. These allow you to fix the parts to the tube with bolts and nuts. This is entirely optional. I haven't tried it myself yet. You'd probably also want to use some sort of nut trap on the inside of the tube.
For 25mm tube. I included the .ipt file for Autodesk Inventor, so you can adjust some things of you want to.
Note: The heights of the round extrusions (the pillars) are different on the upper and lower parts. This is because while printing the first part, I realized that the total height was wrong. So I changed the height on the lower part as an easy fix.
