My D-bot printer with cantilevered Z axis makes me crazy! Every time I inadvertently push the bed, accidentally or to remove an object, the bed goes down a little bit, vanishing my previous leveling, so I decided to solve the problem. My idea is to lock/unlock the lead screws with GCODE M355 command, formerly fot case light but you can use it for this project too, using one free pin on my RAMPS and a relay for Arduino. I added some plastic and a very cheap and small 12VDC solenoid to my idea and the 'monster's bite' was born. Here it goes...
