This is a 3d printable wire trough with an optional cover for Creality Ender 3 Pro 3d printers. This should fit Creality Ender 3 printers also and may fit other Creality printers but it was designed specifically for the Ender 3 Pro.
If you own a Creality Ender 3 machine, you will need to remove the wire tape protection that is used by Creality to prevent wires from rubbing the aluminum frame. At some point, you will need to replace a fan, the nozzle heater or do something that will require access to the control board wiring.
Why bother fiddling around trying to retape the wires with fabric tape? Instead, print a Y-R Trough.
The Y-R Trough was designed to drop exactly into the wiring passthrough cutout under Creality Ender 3 printers. Two "ears" on each side drop into the aluminum channel slots to secure the Y-R Trough. The walls of the Y-R Trough are 2mm thick and each edge of the trough extends 2mm past the aluminum channel to assure that the wiring will rub on plastic and not a sharp aluminum edge. A slide on cover is included in the STL if you also want to prevent the motherboard cover from touching the wire bundle.
The Y-R Trough does not interfere with any of the control board cover screws and does not interfere with the fit of the control board cover.
Installing the Y-R Trough on your Creality Ender 3 machine will make it a little easier to do repairs and upgrades that require wiring access.
