Finally had some time to design the "fang" style duct. Problem with the other "X5S fang" found on Thingiverse is that it doesn't clip on snuggly for me on my E3D clone, and that the height wasn't correct.
This updated "fang" design allows slight Z-height adjustment in relationship with the nozzle. The duct nozzle design allows for more directed air flow. You can print with 0% infill which would make the duct very light.
(rotate model by 10 degrees in X-axis, ~7mm brim for bed-adhesion)
I found that the included V6 fan clip to work very well. You can use the original 30mm fan as part of V6 hot-end kit for cooling. Or you can use the included 40mm-30mm fan adapter.
Bed level sensor in my opinion is a must have for X5S. I used this $6 one:
LJ18A3-8-Z/BX 8mm Proximity Inductive Sensor Switch NPN 3-wire Normally Open
Wiring:
12v 12v
GND - 12v Return
Signal - Z-end stop with 10k resistor between GND and Signal of sensor.
(Sensor mount didn't account for thread, some VHB was used)
Some M3 fasteners were used. See picture for detail.
If you use the same exact set up as mine (also added titan extruder), you can try out the attached Marlin 1.1.9 configuration file AND simplify3D profile. Note that LCD/SD card is disabled to save space, and I use Octoprint exclusively to manage the printer.
