Picatinny Rail for the Zuru X-Shot Chaos Meteor (off-brand nerf rival pistol)
replaces the decorative top rail with a picatinny
printed diagonally (30) for better strength -the print layers cross the shear lines of the teeth. If you're confident about your layer adhesion and don't want to print huge supports, just rotate down 30 to horizontal.
2 versions:
'normal' and 'wide tolerance'
The Wide Tolerance variant has a flatter top face; the very edge of the tolerance allowance range for Picatinny. I made this one is specifically for use with the cheap 15$ clone red dots you find on Amazon; they interface more level using it.
The Normal rail seems to interface better with more expensive optics.
Choose accordingly.
Note for MP Select Mini users: I use one myself; you'll need to rotate the model to a diagonal to fit the print bed. !rude awakening! my MP Mini had Skewed axis; so depending on +45 vs -45 orientation the part would change length by +-.5mm! YMMV
EDIT 9/28/2019: Fixed a misalignment with blaster shell, chamfered several overhangs to print cleaner, increased size of Iron Sight
Update 10/17/2019 Turns out I was using the wrong spec reference for Picatinny standard. Should be up to spec now. Sorry about that.
also chamfered front sight for safety, lowered rail slightly.
Update 10/18/2019 Added Wide Tolerance Variant Rail
Update 12/5/2019 Added Wide Minimal Rail
This Rail has a groove cut down the center to allow a smaller front sight.
