Accurate HopUp for X-shot Chaos Meteor Blaster (Nerf Rival Compatible pistol)
My Chaos Meteor was experiencing accuracy issues; with many shots randomly arcing down instead of flying level.
This more aggressive HopUp tab fixes the issue by more consistently engaging the rounds.
I tried Many different shapes and heights before settling on this 'tooth' shaped design. It seems that the more focused point of contact has less left/right spread versus the more traditional 'crescent' shape found on most Rival blasters.
The original hopup is glued in, you'll need to tear it out and scrape off any rubber cement residue
then (preferably epoxy) the 3d printed replacement in. ...wrapping electrical tape around the barrel to hold it in might also work for a less permanent attachment...
Note: annoying side effect
rounds now have good backspin and consistent flight; however they exit the barrel at a lower angle. meaning the blaster needs to be aimed high.
