X-Maxx Roof Skid by GonzoStrange

My knock-off version of the Traxxas X-maxx roof skid.
I included a version with attached adhesion pads. I found this necessary for a good print using carbon fiber nylon. For best fit you need to print in the mounting orientation with supports.

I used MatterHackers NylonX
Hotend @ 260c
Initial bed temp @ 90c then reduced bed temp to 70c
Cooling fan @ 30%

Support Pattern (Zig Zag)
Connect Support Zig Zag (X)
Support Density (15)
Support Line Distance (5)
The most important thing is the Overhang Angle, don't have to and don't need support in the channel and in the screw holes. Make your support sparse enough it's easy to remove.
I highly recommend using a carbon fiber nylon like MatterHackers NylonX. The skid is going to take a lot of abuse and carbon fiber nylon has a lot of flexibility while being incredibly strong. Plus the carbon fiber just looks cool and will make your X-maxx extra fast and attract the opposite sex like a magnet :-)
Threads are modeled in so you could use without adding nuts
