Why risk burning yourself, or blowing off your arm when you can use this and mount your launcher to a standard model rocket launchpad. This bolts on to the launcher at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:69172 and fits inside the tripod mount that you can get from various vendors. You should remove the slotted mount for the standard launch rail. Add washers as necessary. Also see V3 of the rocket for a more stable launching rocket. Consider thin pieces of tile to protect the blast deflector.
