Wood Thread Cutting Jig

This is a jig to help cut wood threads in dowels. The initial version cuts threads in 1 1/4" dowels with 6 TPI.
It locks into the opening of a router table. You then insert a 60 degree v-bit in the router and raise it enough so that the tip matches the depth of the thread in the jig. You may have to adjust the height of the router bit. To cut the threads, you turn on the router and then feed the dowel into the guide end (the end without threads) while turning the dowel. It should catch after a few turns and the threads of the jig will continue to pull the dowel through at the correct rate.
