I usually buy 26 gauge silicone wire for building drones and it comes in a bundle inside a bag. it ends up getting tangled and a mess on my bench when building. I made this to spool my wires on it nice and neat and make it so i can hang it on the wall and bolt as many as i want together in as many little groups as i want. i made 2 for power and ground close to me then on the wall further up i made 5 for the different colors i seldom use. I will be making a bigger one for 18 gauge esc wire and 12 gauge power cable soon. I hope this comes in handy!!
I also spool up some solder to this spool and can place it next to my project and it keeps the solder sticking out to tin my iron when my hands are full or to just be a fumble free way of getting solder on command!
Spool holder can be bolted together with (2) m3 bolts on the side of the spool holder. They have a keyway to hang on a wall. They are made for use with 608zz bearings.
the bearings are pressed into the spool then the spool goes into the spool holder. Insert the axle rod thru the holder and spool and use m3x5 or m3 x 6 screws to secure the cap onto the outside of the holder. When bolting many together only use the axle caps on the outside of the row so you should only need 2 for any given configuration. depending on the way you print it the sool holders hole for the axle may need to be cleaned up a bit for it to stick thru
