This is a 4-spool 3D printed version of Adafruit's wire spool boxes ( https://www.adafruit.com/products/1311 ).
[updates: (Jan/1/2017) holes for pulling out the wire have been switched from "under" to "over" which makes it A LOT easier to put the wire through if it goes back inside the box.]
Adafruit's box is a cool concept that can be made more durable and customized with 3D printing.
This is version one, designed and printed out in one day. There are lots of improvements that could be made so the SketchUp file is included for users to customize and build on this design.
There is a spot for placing a piece of metal and a magnet to help keep the lid closed. It can use some improvement. The hinge uses a piece of 1.75mm filament pushed through. You can glue or friction weld it into place. This print required a little drilling to fit the filament in.
