I recently changed my wing servo connectors to rs232 DB9 connectors to facilitate quick setup/dismantle of my talon especially when doing mapping flights. But of course, to add extra support for the DB9, I then decided to add install wing joiners, not just relying on the wing clamps. The wing joiners are held by either steel M3 nuts and steel screws, but I opted to use nylon standoffs just like the ones used in Aeromapper Talon (I patterned my Talon on the Aeromapper Talon, but I am still waiting for the wing extensions). The wing joiners on the Aeromapper Talon are designed for setups with wing extensions, mine, however is for Talons WITHOUT the wing extensions, yet. I will modify the design as soon as the wing extensions arrive. The design of this wing joiner is a remix of the bolt on wing joiner for mini drak, by the way.

With nylon standoffs both on the V-tails and the wings, no special tools like hex keys are required for the assembly of my Talon. Just pop in the wings and lock them.
Instructions:
Print on ABS or PLA. Each wing joiner will require you to print two (2) joiner plates and one (1) wing joiner. On the Talon, I printed four (4) sets. After printing, you might need trim the joiner a bit to fit the joiner plates. To install, properly align the wings and the fuselage.Connect the wings into the fuselage with the spars installed. Mark the areas to be cut out. Use sharp blade to trim the foam. Make sure that the wing joiner is flushed such that will not be protruding on the foam, but dont over cut the foam so as not to make the joiner recessed. Do not forget to add nuts or standoffs underneath the joiner plates (hold the nut/stand off with CA glue). Apply foam safe glue on the wing and fuselage as well as on the side of the joiner plate to be bonded. Make final alignment prior to pressing the parts together.
