This is a set of OpenSCAD files for my make of this Minecraft Ore Cube Lamp: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:472500
Note: uncomment the respective parts in the OpenSCAD file.NOTE2: This is for the cube to be printed at 150% !!! If you print the lamp the way you downloaded it, you HAVE to downsize these!!!!NOTE3: It is highly improbable that this will fit your print out of the box: You have to fiddle around with the sizings!!
From my build description:
I printed the cube sized to 150% in white PLA.
Spray-painted it silver-grey and created insets for the windows in OpenSCAD. (the insets from the build wouldn't fit my print)
I printed the windows in transparent PETG and glued them in with super glue.
I also added an ESP8266 (WiFi) and an additional Bluetooth module to the cube bottom.
The top square window has a small switch hidden behind it: If you press it, you can switch the cube through the signature colors the cube can have in the Minecraft game: Redstone, Lapis, Iron, Gold, Diamond and Emerald. The seventh ore "Obsidian" doubles as "off" :-)
You can see the cycling through the colors in the video attached
(Note: video won't upload ATM) You can view the video on YouTube.
My son liked it :-))))
