My Printrboard burned up the bed connection screw block and I decided to switch to a more mainstream controller board based on the Ramps 1.4. Since the Printrbot was not designed to have an LCD and since I believe that the LCD is a key feature missing from the Printrbot, I decided to look for a way to mount one on mine.
I was inspired by the latest Prusa i3 and decided to go the same way. I started with Thorped's wide footprint, which I have been using for over 2 years and Smart Controller Enclosure (Rebuilt from scratch) by cabbageheart. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:501757
I added a sloping shelf to the front legs (with cut out for wires)
The result is a "properly" angled LCD display for the Printrbot Simple Metal.
