I've been doing some repairs on the Dishwasher which required me to run the machine with the door open to see what was going wrong. I made this clip to seat the door handle switch allowing me to look inside as the machine runs. WARNING you may get wet! This is designed for a Whirlpool Silent Partner I, I am reasonably sure Silent Partner II and many other Maytag and Whirlpool Dishwashers have the same door latch, so I thought I would share it. Its not a perfect fit so may need a piece of tape to stay in place. I will probably fix that the next time my machine breaks :)
To use just insert into the door latch holes with the angled face down. I strongly recommend only opening the door a small crack unless you want a very hot shower.
