I modified the design slightly for the newer version of the D1 Mini (v3.0.0) that I have. Moved the hole for the reset button to the other side, moved the USB cut out slightly, loosened the tolerance on the Wemos board & tightened the tolerance on the sensor (with matching alterations to the lid).
If you print the lid in a translucent material you can see the built-in LED through it.
You may need to play around with scale to get the fit/tolerances perfect with your printer. I settled with 100.5% scale for the lid to get the fit that I wanted.
I put the Wemos board into deep sleep for 60 seconds between readings, so there is no issue with heat buildup affecting the temperature readings.
