The water bulbs by architect Wim Quist are a very striking landmark in the south of Eindhoven. Immediately beside them is another landmark, namely Eindhoven National Swimming Centre. The water bulbs in Eindhoven function like a water tower and help regulate water pressure. The high pressure pumps pump the water into the pipes and ensure that the water that comes out of people's taps is at the right pressure. The bulbs are used to cope with extra demand during peak moments. They were built in 1970 and are located 43.45 metres above the ground. The three bulb-shaped water reservoirs each have a capacity of 500 m3. #3dClearEarth #Eindhoven #Gemeente_Eindhoven #Studio_Ode #Wim_Quist
