This deflector snaps to the 1/2" output pipe and deflects the water into a spray pattern. It helps when watering smaller areas, or when conditions are especially muddy. A side benefit is that the additional deflection of the water adds to the rotational thrust. This allows the sprinkler to operate (travel) with less water flow (again a plus when working in small areas). Please post a make if you like this thing, and if it works well for you.
Several brands of traveling sprinklers use 1/2" O.D. pipe for the output spray.
