UPDATE 14/06/2018: Version 2 of this make now includes a terminal bracket intended to be mounted above the extruder on the uppermost bearing block screws - this arrangement completely elimaties any lateral force at the point where the filament enters the extruder thus ensuring the filament can be drawn by the extruder cleanly.
After mounting my filament holder on the control box I noticed some extrusion issues associated with the filament causing too much force perpendicular to the extruder for it to pull filament through effectively - This part is designed to be used in conjunction with PTFE tubing much like a bowden tube to eliminate this sideways force entirely.
Designed to be bolted to the upper holes on Z gantry frame.
Parts Required:
2mm inner dia PTFE Tubing
2x M6 Pneumatic connectors
2x M3x8mm cap allen screws/bolts (the spare bolts from the printer work perfectly and give everything a nice uniform look)
2x M3 Locknuts
The two parts require the holes for the M6 pneumatic connectors to be tapped - this can be achieved quite easily using an M6 tap or the connector itself.
