Vertical and Horizontal Strain Relief for Direct Drive Extruder and Nema 17 Stepper Motor: Esp for CR10 V3 by magnokneeto

Last crawled date: 4 years, 5 months ago
These are vertical and horizontal strain reliefs that attach directly to the back plate of a Nema 17 stepper motor.
Inspiration for the vertical relief is the CR10 V3 that uses the stepper motor wire connector as a strain relief for the hot end wires and routes wires like a traditional bowden setup.
The horizontal relief routes cables along the X-axis with a side mounted motor as many dedicated direct drives are apt to be.
Replace one or two screws with ones 5mm longer depending on the strain relief chosen.
Fasteners:
Vertical
(2) M3 x (L+5)
Horizontal
(1) M3 x (L+5)
