This is similar to the "Platonic Solid Vertices", but independently developed. If you look at a soccer ball you'll notice that it's made of pentagons surrounded on each side by a hexagon. So every vertex has 2 entries point into a hexagon vertex and 1 points into a vertex on the pentagon. This is easier to see in person since the difference in angles is subtle.
I am using 1/8" wood dowels.
I found that it's best to print these 5 at a time. This is such a small part that it does not have very much time between layers. You could also change the time setting between layers in your printer settings, but just making multiple prints solves the issue.
