In a Battle of Fortuna rainforest from Star Fox Assault, the Ape Assault Mech was very much similar to the original in most ways for arming with a gatling gun, beam rifle and a missile pods on a shoulder hull, plus Winged Prototype with shield cannon. During Aparoid Invasion, the Winged Prototype been infected by the Aparoid with a scrap piece to mutate any ship or people, spread like a virus.
