This gadget will beep when immersed in water for around 10% of its height.
It is meant to be hung on the edge of the bathtub by means of a suction cup, so that the 'high water' alarm will buzz when the bathtub is full enough of water.
It has the shape of the famous 100m tall Venice St Mark's Campanile placed in the middle of St Mark's Square in Venice, which is occasionally surrounded by 1m water 'Acqua Alta', the term used in Veneto for the exceptional tide peaks that occur periodically in the northern Adriatic Sea.
You can us it also as an ornament and move it to the bathroom just when you need it.
The required electronics is very cheap (total is around 5€). Some soldering is require to connect the battery clip cables to the Buzzer through the Reed Switch.
Pleas find below the bill of materials with reference costs and link:
9V Battery (1.21 € - https://t.ly/3Qsq)
Buzzer (1.60 € - https://t.ly/jGOD)
Suction cup (1.52 € - https://t.ly/xFBl):
Reed Switch & Magnet (0.45 € - https://t.ly/cBq9)
9V Battery Clip (0.70€ - http://t.ly/GpwZ)
Enjoy and use at your own risk: when the level of water is high the beeper sounds, but the flow of water is not automatically interrupted!
