This is a modification of RichMac's Turbine rotary Tool. I needed a tool for milling molds out of refractory sand, while also reducing dust and keeping Particulate out of the air. The Bearings and Shaft were sourced from Mcmaster-Carr and the chuck was sourced from amazon. Links contained below. A metal Lathe was used to drill a small hole in the end of the axle rod, and turn town the hex on the chuck into a smaller diameter shaft that was pressed into the axle. I'm sure a more clever solution exists, but I was in a bit of a rush. Balancing the large mass of the chuck with the axle is still a bit of a challenge and the tool only runs true at certain rpms. I Designed in a small series of holes above the the turbine blades as a way to reduce vacuum pressure and thereby lower the rpms of the tool. While not refined to target a specific range of speeds, this does help to hone in on the ideal running speed at which the tool sounds best... more to come-
