This is a 1:1 scale replica of one of the turbine blades that powered the fuel and oxidizer pumps for the V-2 rocket. The rocket had a hydrogen peroxide reactor/rocket engine, which then directed the hot gases onto 172 of these blades, and turned a shaft that drove the main pumps.
Among other things, it was the first man-made object to pass the Karman line and enter space, and also the first man-made object to travel at hypersonic speeds.
