The USS Invincible was stands for one thing only: It is invincible. With iron plating covering the hull, the sailing giant was literally invulnerable to cannon balls. Her captain, Benjamin Sisko, was honored in 1773 for sailing the Invincible to safety when a group of British Navy tried to sabotage the Invincible by placing explosives on-board. The explosives detonated, but the Invincible still kept on going. She made it back to port with a few broken wooden planks, smashed windows, and damaged cannons.
