USS Enterprise NCC-1701 (2230s-2250s)

The Enterprise was the second Federation starship to bear the name. The Enterprise was constructed by the San Francisco-Curtis Naval Industries Corporation at Riverside Shipyards in 2235. The Enterprise led an illustrious service record under COs Robert April, Alexander Marcus, and eventually Christopher Pike. Captain Robert April commanded the Enterprise for 4 years before his disappearence in the Phaedus system. Alexander Marcus would remain captain of the Enterprise for the remainder of the vessels first five year mission and the next five year mission. During this time, the Enterprise would fight along the Klingon Federation Border, participating in the hundreds of battles. The ship would also make first-contact with hundreds of neutral worlds. In 2245 the ship would come under the command of Christpher Pike. In 2256 the Enterprise was heavily damaged in the final battle of the Klingon war, necessitating a refit to Iowa class specifications. #constitution_class #enterprise #federation #starship
