I picked up a few 12V LED lamp units designed to replace the halogen bulbs in under cabinet light fixtures but the normal bases are too big and bulky since they have to deal with the high temperatures. Here is a simple design that holds the "bulb" via integrated clamp. This design uses 2 M3 press fit inserts for the M3 screws to grab into, I suggest using 8mm length screws as the only ones I had were 10mm and they are a tad on the long side but will still work. A simple Molex 2 position wire housing works great for connecting to the light. Attached are the STL files and the FreeCAD files to edit as you wish. The M3 inserts can be bought from Grainger and the Molex housings and terminals can be picked up from Mouser.
