I believe I've designed the ultimate filament guide and oiler for the robot 3D.
It installs easily into the square slot where the bolt is for the X axis belt. (use a layer or two of masking tape to make it snug, see photos).
It is designed to be the approximate height of the filament intake into the hot end. This is so the filament stays as horizontal as possible between the guide and the hot end.
It is designed to prevent binding/coiling of the filament as the head moves along the X axis.
It keeps the filament from rubbing on the belts and rods.
It offers a simple method to install/replace the sponge and is easy to add more oil.
Unlike many oiler mods, it doesnt depend on the robo 3d's shell.
I really feel like this solves most of my problems with filament guides.
I recommend securing the face plate down with some glue.
