Easy to print replacement casing for the Ultimaker 2 sliding block plastic mold.
Mounted with screws instead of interlocks - easy to print
Tight belt grip - zero backlash due to the tension spring wobbling
Tight 6mm rod grip with set screw - rod will never fall out of this one!
No tension included! - you can put the tension spring on the other half of the belt
To replace all four slider blocks you need:
4 x 11mm/12mm x 30mm x 8mm sintered bushings from the original slider blocks
8 x M3 12mm machine screws
8 x M3 hex nuts
Either 4 x M3 10mm screws or 4 x M3 set screws
There are two sets of STL files. One for 11mm bushings, and one for 12 mm bushings (outer diameter).
The STL files have reasonable deviations for the bushing and 6mm rod, but you may need to drill the 6mm rod hole to get the rod to fit. The screw holes have 0.2mm overhang that need to be drilled with a 3mm drill bit.
The blocks fit either way around. I recommend putting the screws on the inside for maximum build volume. You can also mirror the blocks.
