This is a Wu Tang Frame that fits Blade inductrix and tiny whoop parts. I have always wanted to do something like this and now I have.
It has been a week since I first got my first 3d printer Monoprice Select Mini. I am a complete noob but learned at in a short amount of time.
I used the Wu-Tang Ashtray by gungn1r to get the Wu Tang Logo and then I used the the motor mount and FC mount from the Inductrix / TinyWhoop - Easy to print, plug-and-play frame replacement by PeterProvost.
The software I found easiest to edit a model is Tinkercad online.
There are two versions of this frame available. Frame 3 is smaller than Frame4. Frame3 has part of the props exposed and 3 grams.I designed v4 to have better prop protection but it is 6 grams. Update as of 12/24/16 - Will need to trim the fat off the larger frame. Want to get it at least 5 grams.
I had longer screws which holds the fc from the bottom and comes up to hold the cam mount. The battery is being held on by rubberband hooked on the top of the screw on each side.
Would love to see pics of others building this. I added motor guard to protect motor wires from getting damaged. The STL file only has one. You will need to print four of that file. Not sure if needed but I used eyeglass frame tightner to prevent the motor from moving up or you can use an o ring. You can see it on the picture showing the bottom.
You can get all parts for this at www.tinywhoop.com
I recommend Insane motors, Beebrain flight controller and LiHV batteries.
Enjoy :)
